“Love Your Va-Jay-Jay-Day”

BlackWomenStandUp.com's Gynecological and Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative

April 10, 2021

Stand with us as we work to save lives and celebrate survivors by encouraging women to #CheckUpOnIt and stay on top of their health to remain cancer free.
"Love Your Va-Jay-Jay Day" is an online social media campaign, and a live event where we honor a Uterine and Breast Cancer Survivor with our "Still Standing" Award each year.

How can you help? We are now accepting donations to help make the event a success. If you have a product that you would like to donate for inclusion into our gift bags, please visit our Contact Us Page, located top right.

April is also National Minority Health Month. Black women and women of color are being affected by breast and GYN cancers at alarming rates, not to mention we rarely hear about the five types of GYN Cancers, which are Cervical, Uterine, Ovarian, Vulvar and Vagina. Ladies, spread the word, and make sure you don't forget to #CheckUpOnIt

Ways to #CheckUpOnIt :

Schedule that GYN appointment

Perform a self-breast exam

Talk with your family about your medical history as it relates to cancer

Get informed about statistics, tips, prevention an early detection strategies

QUOTES WE LOVE

"Having patience, being discerning and listening to your gut can make a world of difference. #"StillBreathin

"Most people are #SingleBecause they've become jaded by dating and bad experiences. Nothing wrong with being single but don't give up on love."

"Fearlessly open up, see how the other person handles it... if it doesn’t “feel” right, move on."

~ Brenden Dilley @Hublife

"The minute you let go of what happened before and the expectation of what is to come, the possibilities in the moment are endless."
